Still soulds like a low freon problem , theres a low pressure switch inmost vehicles
meant to protect the compressor from being too low on freon , unless the
switch is bad .

The condition you describe is called "short cycling" and is caused most often by a low refrigerant charge. Just having pressure in the system doesn't mean it is fully charged. You should take it in and have a qualified mechanic check for leaks then properly evacuate and re-charge the system.

Sounds to me like a low freon problem.Maybe the low pressure switch.Maybe a plugged dryer. You are almost certainly gonna have to take it to a garage to get an answer. AC systems,especialy car ac's, are a pain in the butt to diagnose.
